BENGALURU TENNIS OPEN
Bengaluru, the Garden City has been given the privilege of hosting an ATP Challenger event from the 10 - 16 February 2020. The Bengaluru Open 2020 will be a Tennis tournament like no other. A game that attracts the youth as well as their parents. It will be a conscious effort to increase the visibility and interest of a dynamic sport like tennis as well as improve the mileage and publicity of our city.
A week of World class Tennis, with 48 Singles players and 16 Doubles pairs battling it out to lift the Bengaluru Open Crown. This will involve participation from among the top players in the world. The biggest benefit of the tournament would be to give an opportunity to Indian players at the ATP Challenger tour, on home turf through this event and help them earn valuable points thus catapulting them into the top 50 worldwide

The Rise of the Champions
In a brilliant duel where two Indians battled it out for glory for the very first time in an ATP Challenger Series, P. Gunneswaran won the second ATP Challenger of his career and the first one on home soil, defeating S. Myneni. Fianalist S. Myneni made a memorable comeback after his injury, with a will of steel, showcasing the true spirit of the sport.
The champion P. Gunneswaran jumped from no.144 to no.110 in the singles ATP rankings with the valuable points he earned after his victory at South Asia’s biggest Tennis extravaganza that was held at KSLTA in Bengaluru between 12th - 17th November 2018.
